Welcome to Commuter Connect! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Commuter Connect mobile application (the "App") provided by Naman Sharma.
By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms or the Privacy Policy, you may not use the App.
1. Use of the App
Eligibility: You should be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
License: Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on your personal device for your personal, non-commercial use.
User Account: You may need to create an account to access certain features of the App. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account.

Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law.
Violate or encourage others to violate the rights of third parties, including by infringing or misappropriating intellectual property rights.
Post, upload, or distribute any content that is unlawful, defamatory, libelous, inaccurate, or that a reasonable person could deem to be objectionable, profane, indecent, pornographic, harassing, threatening, embarrassing, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate.
Interfere with the operation of the App or any user's enjoyment of the App, including by uploading or otherwise disseminating viruses, adware, spyware, worms, or other malicious code.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or accounts or computer systems or networks connected to the App.
Use location data collected from the App for any purpose other than those intended by the App's functionality.
2. Location Data
The App uses location services to provide its core functionality (e.g., matching commuters, providing route information). By using the App, you consent to the collection, use, and storage of your location data as described in our Privacy Policy. You can disable location services for the App at any time through your device settings, but this may affect the functionality of the App.
3. Intellectual Property
The App and its entire contents, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof) are owned by Naman Sharma or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses services provided by third parties, including Google Firebase and potentially others as listed in our Privacy Policy. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and conditions and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of these third-party services.

5. Disclaimers
"As Is" Basis: The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We specifically disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
No Guarantee of Service: We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
Reliance on Information: Any reliance you place on the information provided through the App is strictly at your own risk.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL Naman Sharma and Commuter Connect, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (I) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE APP; (II) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE APP; (III) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE APP; AND (IV) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
8. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the "Effective Date" at the top of the Terms. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on the Commuter Connect app for iPhone, Android, and any other devices and platforms.
Information We Collect
New Commuter Connect accounts may be created with email addresses and passwords.
Email addresses are used for logging in, account management, and responding to emails that you initiate (including password reset emails). We do not send promotional emails.
We may collect and store data you submit through the app, such as profile information, trip details, and any other information you choose to provide.
Location Data: We collect your location data to enable core features of the app, such as matching commuters, providing route information, or other location-based services. Your location data is securely stored in Google Firebase and is not shared with outside parties except as described in this policy.
Technical Basics
Firebase: We use Google Firebase for authentication, data storage, and other backend services.

Information Usage
We use the information we collect to operate and improve our app and services.
We do not share personal information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to accomplish Commuter Connect's functionality.
We may disclose your information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal requirements; to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud or abuse, violations of our policies; or to protect our rights and property.
In the future, we may sell to, buy, merge with, or partner with other businesses. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.
Security
Passwords and sensitive data, including your location information, are securely managed and stored in Google Firebase. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data.
Children's Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
We do not knowingly collect or maintain information from anyone under the age of 13, and no part of our app is structured to attract anyone under 13.
